Painted plein air on a wild Pyrenean afternoon, I’ve made many studies of this 3000m peak in Aragon’s Valle de Tena. It holds all the power and mystery of these vast mountains. I’ve spent many summer months walking among these high peaks, and slowly they have transformed my desire to live by the sea to a stronger desire to spend as much time as possible amongst these peaks.
